Short answer: of the five video testimonial tools we checked first-party on 3 September 2026, four publish a full price list and one publishes plan prices with no quota attached to them. The cheapest route to unlimited video testimonials is Famewall Professional at $25 a month, then Senja Starter at $29. Boast never sells unlimited at all, because it meters responses collected, from $50 a month for 600 a year. And every one of the five meters something different, which is why comparing their headline prices side by side tells you almost nothing.
Every comparison of this category currently ranking on Google was written by a company that sells one of the tools in it. That is not an accusation of dishonesty, it is just how the SERP is built, and it does explain why the tool doing the reviewing tends to come out well. We sell scripts, not testimonial software, so we have no entry in the table and nothing to defend.
What follows is every published number, read off each vendor's own pricing page on the same day, plus the thing those pages bury: what the money is actually counting.
Video testimonial software pricing compared
Prices below are as published on 3 September 2026. Where a vendor shows monthly and annual figures separately, both are given, because the gap is larger than most people expect.
| Tool | Free tier | Entry paid plan | Cheapest unlimited video | What the fee meters |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Famewall | Yes, 1 video testimonial | Standard $12 a month ($149 a year) | Professional $25 a month ($299 a year) | Number of video testimonials, plus a recording length cap |
| Senja | Yes, 15 video and text testimonials | Starter $29 a month | Starter $29 a month | Forms, projects and seats. Testimonials are unlimited on paid plans |
| Testimonial.to | Yes, 2 videos at 2 minutes | Starter $25 a month ($300 a year) | Ultimate $50 a month per space ($600 a year) | Video count, recording minutes, and the number of spaces |
| Boast | No, 14-day trial with no card | Basic $50 a month on annual billing | Not offered at any tier | Responses collected |
| Vocal Video | Yes, $0 tier | Essential $99 a month, billed yearly ($1,188 a year) | Not published | Not published on the pricing page |
The spread is the story. The cheapest unlimited plan in this table is $25 a month and the most expensive published entry plan, Vocal Video billed yearly, costs four times that, a four-fold difference for products that all put a record button in front of your customer.
How much does video testimonial software cost per testimonial?
Only one vendor here can be converted to a true unit cost, and it is worth doing because it reframes the whole comparison. Boast prices by response, so its plans divide cleanly.
| Boast plan | Published price | Included responses | Cost per response |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic, annual billing | $50 a month | 600 a year | $1.00 |
| Team, annual billing | $100 a month | 1,800 a year | $0.67 |
| Premium, annual billing | $208 a month | 6,000 a year | $0.42 |
| Basic, monthly billing | $59 a month | 50 a month | $1.18 |
| Team, monthly billing | $119 a month | 150 a month | $0.79 |
| Premium, monthly billing | $249 a month | 500 a month | $0.50 |
Two things drop out of that. Paying monthly rather than annually costs more per response at every single tier, and the gap is widest at the entry level, $1.18 against $1.00. And volume roughly halves the unit cost between Basic and Premium, which means Boast is priced for teams that will genuinely collect thousands of responses a year, not for a brand gathering a dozen.
The bigger caveat applies to every tool on this page. A response is a recording somebody submitted. It is not a testimonial you can publish. Some share of what arrives will be unusable: too long, too vague, filmed against a window, or answering a question you did not need answered. Your real cost per publishable testimonial is the figure above divided by your hit rate. If half are usable, double every number in that last column.
Which video testimonial tool is cheapest for unlimited videos?
Famewall Professional, at $25 a month or $299 a year, is the cheapest published route to unlimited video testimonials, with Senja Starter close behind at $29 a month. Both remove the quantity cap entirely at a price below what several competitors charge for their most restricted paid tier.
The catch at the cheap end is recording length. Famewall caps recordings at 2 minutes on Standard and 3 minutes on Professional, moving to 5 minutes on Business and Agency. Testimonial.to caps its free and Starter plans at 2 minutes per video and lifts that to 5 minutes on Ultimate. For most use cases this is a non-issue, because a testimonial that works in an ad or on a landing page runs 60 to 90 seconds. It matters if you are collecting long-form customer interviews to cut down later, in which case a 2-minute ceiling will clip people mid-sentence.
There is a second trap at the Testimonial.to end that is easy to miss on a quick scan: Ultimate and Ultimate Plus are priced per space. One space is one brand or product. If you run three brands, Ultimate is $150 a month, not $50. Senja handles the same situation inside one subscription, with 5 projects on its $59 Pro plan, so a multi-brand operator can end up paying less for the more expensive-looking plan.
Why is Vocal Video more expensive than the others?
Because it is not really selling the same thing. Vocal Video publishes Essential at $99 a month billed yearly ($1,188 a year), Pro at $149 ($1,788 a year), Scale at $249 ($2,988 a year) and an Enterprise tier it states starts at $1,250 a month. That is an order of magnitude above Famewall, and the difference is automated editing, branding and production features aimed at marketing teams that want a finished, branded video out the other end rather than a raw clip in a widget.
One honest limitation on our side: we could not find a published quota attached to those tiers on the pricing page, so we have not calculated a cost per video for Vocal Video and we are not going to guess one. If your evaluation depends on volume limits, that is a question to put to their sales team directly rather than infer from a roundup.
Is free video testimonial software good enough?
For a first attempt, often yes. Senja's free tier collects 15 video and text testimonials and includes widgets and walls of love, which is enough to put social proof on a landing page and find out whether your customers will actually record anything. Famewall's free plan is much tighter at 1 video testimonial, and Testimonial.to's allows 2 videos at 2 minutes each.
The realistic sequence is to start free, discover your response rate, and only then decide which meter you want to be billed on. A brand that gets a 40% response rate from a warm customer list has a completely different buying problem from one that gets 4%, and no pricing page can tell you which you are.
Response rate is mostly a customer experience question rather than a software one. The moment you ask matters more than the tool you ask with, and the teams that do best build the request into an existing lifecycle touchpoint rather than sending a standalone campaign. If that part of your customer onboarding and support operations is not mapped yet, fixing it will do more for your testimonial volume than any feature on this page.
What none of these tools price
All five sell you collection. None of them sells you the questions, and the questions decide almost everything about whether the recording is usable.
This is the quiet failure mode of buying testimonial software. You pay $299 a year, send out a link that says "tell us what you think of our product," and receive a stack of warm, friendly, completely unusable clips in which nobody names the objection a prospect actually has. The tool did its job. The prompt did not.
A testimonial that converts is built backwards from a specific doubt: the reason people hesitate before buying, answered out loud by somebody who had that doubt and got past it, ideally in the first ten seconds before anyone scrolls. That requires an ordered question set, a named proof point, and a length and framing spec, whether the person recording is a customer at their desk or a creator you hired.
That is the step UGCMarketplace generates. Describe the product and the objection that stalls your buyers and it writes the testimonial brief, the scene-by-scene script including the opening three seconds, the technical requirements, and a description of the creator to recruit if you are going the paid route. The first one is free and needs no account, then $29 a month on Pro. We do not film, collect, host or edit video, so this is the input to whichever tool above you pick, not a replacement for it.
If you are still deciding between collecting from customers, hiring a production company or briefing creators, we broke down all three routes and what each actually charges on our testimonial video cost page. For the creator route specifically, UGC testimonials covers the format and the disclosure rules, and video testimonials covers the production choices.
The short version
Pick Famewall Professional at $25 a month if you want unlimited videos for the least money and can live with a 3-minute cap. Pick Senja Starter at $29 if you want unlimited testimonials plus a genuinely capable free tier to test with first, or Pro at $59 if you run several brands. Pick Testimonial.to if you like the product, but count your spaces before you compare its price to anything. Pick Boast if you will collect at volume and want to be billed for exactly what you gather. Pick Vocal Video if you want finished, branded, automatically edited video and have a budget above $1,000 a year.
Then spend an hour on the questions before you send a single request, because that hour is worth more than the difference between any two rows in the first table.
